   This Spiritual Maturity video hit the spot. I’ve been realizing how many strings I attach to doing “good”. While I sincerely want to help others and often truly enjoy giving surprise gifts (that seem to fit the person), I’ve realized that I have a codependency or just old fashioned expectation that the receiving person will at a minimum say “Thank you, Will” and at maximum hoist me on their shoulders and march me down the mainstream singing “For he’s a jolly good fellow”. When I get no response, a part of my ego frets. Sometimes I sense my good deeds are of the essence of a boy scout DRAGGING a little old lady across the street, even though she didn’t want to cross that street! THEN, expecting the little old lady to pat me on the head and give me enough money for a Starbucks strawberry shake! As Mother Teresa said (which coincidentally fell into my hands today also) “the good you do today will often be forgotten. Do good anyway”. That is the spiritual maturity I aim to reach in this life time.

   I have to echo Wills’ response….the last two lessons have hit me right where I’ve been hurting….being a people pleaser and editing the life God made for me….. I do good out of a giving spirit….but do catch myselves sometimes needing that or realizing I need that ‘pat on the back’ to make me feel good….when my true intent was just to ‘do good’….. still learning!

   My life has changed dramatically since I have joined the Universal Spirit Center in San Diego. My Spiritual Mind Treatments have manifested exactly what I wanted/needed and I am happier than I have ever been. I wish I had come to this belief system earlier, but it’s never too late. I am 75 years old, and have been living here for five years.

   I love your website and I’m so glad that youwrote the daily readings in April’s Science of Mind magazine, which is how I became impelled to investigate the man who wrote them. Thank you for your service to humanity!
